Community Outreach

Students in two construction programs at South Technical High School will be following the progress of a major design/build project. Several times during this semester, Rich Poynter (above) will guide them through a typical construction project. In the first meeting, they were given the "Pre-Contruction" presentation. CAD drawings, 3D renderings, and photos of the current state of the project were shown and left with the class to familiarize themselves with the project. During their next meeting, they will take a bus to the jobsite and observe Poynter crews at work. The students will visit the jobsite several times throughout the semester until the completion of the project.
